Julia Cameron Is Releasing A New Book In May

We were all sick today (except Soap-y). I spent the afternoon on the couch, picking at my new baby, directing my boys, and watching DVR programs ("The Real Housewives of Orange County," my new favorite show). I am soooooo behind on email. I am sooooooo behind on blog reading. My house is filthy. I haven't been back to the gym in over a week.

On the good news front, however, I read that Julia Cameron has a book coming out in May! For the link, click here Funny how May seems far away to me right now.

I am excited about her new book too. Maybe we should all read it togehter over at contagious creativity, haha.

I hope things get better for you.

I loved it when you said, "directing my boys". My husband does that with our kids. I can't seem to get them to do anything for me!
Feel better, the weekend is close.

I am so sorry to hear that you're all down and out! The girls and I whispered get well wishes in our hands and blew them out into the universe; hopefully they have reached you all by now and are working their wonders! Keep us posted!

Directing your boys....

"He's squashing me" he whines,

"Say that again, this time as if you mean it."

"He's *squashing* me!" He's game, but confused, and not sure if he's mocked.

"You there, move over. No, the other way, I want it to look like you're trying to flatten him out for the cameras."

"You're being silly," he sighs expertly, not moving and proving that four-year-old mini-adolescence theory right, "there's no cameras."

"Oh?" She looks around. "Tch. What a pity. For a moment there I thought this was reality TV and I'd be paid a bucket for it."

"A bucket of what?"
"Ummm. Lego?"

This evening we were having mousse and Sean and I were making moose calls at each other as we passed it up and down the table. When told to stop being silly Sean told Hazel
"If you didn't want silly ones you shouldn't have picked these parents!"
