An Assembly of Search Terms
I've been reviewing the key search terms that have led people to this little plot of property in cyberspace, and here are my conclusions:
For those of you who have arrived here looking for "benefits of a Giant Eagle Advantage Card," I'd like to fully endorse the club and let you know that on last week's grocery bill alone, I saved $27.83.
For those of you who have arrived here looking for lesson plans based on the works of either Sandra Cisneros or Lois Lowry, I'd like to stomp my feet and light a candle with enthusiasm for those authors and their work. Also, if you find anything more useful than my opinion in your world wide web travels, please stop back and let me know of some good activities that I can implement with my upper elementary students? Much appreciated.
For those of you who have been propelled here from fears over "benign twitching" and "benign fasciculations," I'd like to say that I have had random muscle twitches for nearly a year and a half now and since accepting them--albeit grudgingly--(they come in like high tide and then, they move out again), I have never felt better. "Nerve conduction studies" feel funky but do not hurt, and "benign" means exactly that: benign.
For those who are looking for "pictures of children in the naughty corner," I'd like to thank you for NOT searching for "pictures of adults in the naughty corner."
And for those of you searching for "Cathie Byers Hamilton," I would like to say that is my ultimate heart's desire that you are someone I went to high school with, who has realized, in your more mature years, how special and beautiful I was, and would like to make amends for picking me last for volleyball.

Wow, you have some nice, normal search strings! People seem to frequently arrive at my place by searching for some freaky things that I swear I don't think I've ever talked about!
Amazing stuff! People do go searching for some odd things, don't they? (Oh. What's that? Who was that, today, googling '9-dot puzzle'?) Oh. Was it me? Yes. I admit it. It was.
I'm a little puzzled by some of the searches that bring people to my blog. The most common is one about things that start with the letter 'w'. From all over the country. Am I missing something? Most of the time I'm kind of tickled by the whole thing.
Hee! Based on the name of my blog, some of my searches have been, um, a little risque. I can only guess they were grievously disappointed.
Lol, love this post. I got my first questionable search just this past week. Someone wanted to see a "Hot painted woman", heehee. Sorry dudes, not in this lifetime.
You have such a clever way with words. I've missed your spunky writing. Hope things have settled a bit for you.
Hugs,
a.
Hey Cath -- I will have you know that I googled you over a year ago and have been reading ever since. I always hear news about you through my mother and your mother, but thoroughly enjoy reading your words as well. I have always thought about commenting (especially on the womanly terms post b/c I recall you calling your period the "red dot" way back in the day), but hesitated for who knows what reason. I never picked you last for volleyball (obviously) but spent many many childhood hours playing pac man and berzerker or perusing your HUGE book collection at your house. I hope to see you at the next weiner roast in Edinboro!
Deb, I know! It amazes me when I see a search for something I know I never wrote about. I sort of wish people found me looking for freaky things--make me feel a bit more colorful! xo
Imelda, you make me smile! I love "google." And Wikipedia. And blogs. :)
D, things that start with "W?" Why, that's easy--WRITER--that's you! That reminds me of those "word cloud" things where you can have a word cluster made from all of the key words on your blog. "Writer" and "writing" would be all over yours! xo
M, I would have never thought--until you mentioned it. Hmmmmpfff. If makes you wonder about people and their free time. xo
A, you ARE "hot painted woman!" Things have not settled. I am choppy and scattered and a mess. But I'm trying to toss up a post here or there when I have the chance. I'm emailing you today. xo
Amber! Oh, what a surprise! I love that you "googled." I "google" everyone! I'm glad that you commented, too--you brought back so many memories--life was so nice then: sleep in, get up, play Pac-Man, read a book, have a glass of Coke, play Pac-Man again, etc.! I hope to see you next time we're in Edinboro (though I'm not interested in going for a while--what the hell--SNOW IN APRIL?!?!!). xo
