I've always loved this story. I think the story of Trudy is sad. No one really cares about her. She needs to do so much to get attention, yet no one even notices until she points it out.
You are such a fine writer, you know just where the edge lies and you stay on track. I read all the stories and the others while not bad, seem muddy in comparison to yours.
I am sometimes a junebug, easygoing and steady. I am sometimes a grasshopper, changing my color or snapping my wings. I am sometimes a mosquito, chattering in somebody's ear.
But no matter who I feel like being today, I am always counting beans.

Lou, Deb, A, and Ldahl,
Thank you! I am thrilled that you took the time to read my story/leave a comment. Such a gift, you are to me! xo
Lovely! This story captures a certain something I think all young women have felt a time or two in their lives. Thank you for that.
