Very creative and lovely haiku :)
Yummy imagery. I've always thought that the crescent moon looked like someone took a bite out of it.
Love it.. especially the velvet broth description. Excellent!!
I'd like some soft hope, may I have a bite?
Wow,that's really sensuous and lovely.
cracking cheese indeed, a cracking poem! it's a wonderful thing to consider taking a bite out the moon on the occasions it looks like a yellow round cheese - i'm wondering who was the first person to notice the similarity. velvet broth is a new one on me, i do see it now.
could you be the first?! ;o)
great haiku, cate.
I'm liking the "velvet broth." I see you're still writing stellar stuff. Just stopping by to say hi and to see what's up. Hope your summer is going well.

This haiku - like a lot of your writing makes me feel as if I'm going to fall out of my chair because it's so amazing and thrilling! Thanks!!!!
Hi Cate! I always enjoy your unique take on the prompts. Thanks for participating in ODB!
Love the last line. Thanks for the link. Nice place too.
Hi Ally. I revisit this particular haiku because I like it so much. Then I realized I had not commented! Well, duh. Love this flavorful little piece. My cheese of choice - Brie. My soup? Thick onion soup.
Beautiful! Just beautiful!
that's it! we MUST meet for lunch one day this summer so i can give you a big hug for writing this beautiful beautiful poem and you talked about "It was really good. It was super cool. I liked it because...it made me feel happy" in the other post...well that's just how this one makes me feel :-)
(personally, i'll take inarticulate unbridled enthusiasm anyday over fancy words without warmth...hope you like them too :-)
I just love this...the "soft hope" and the "crisp wrapper" - perfect images!
